Pros
Good people who do care about you. The company is (was?) family-owned and you could feel that. I worked there during the recession and they still tried to find a way to compensate employees (more holidays, extra vacation) even if your salary could not reflect it.
Cons
Management needed to be more engaged. There were too many people who benefited off of the work of others but upper management seemed totally unaware. If they had looked just below the surface they would have found out that the people getting paid 90% of the money were doing 10% of the work.
