Pros

Pay is above average for the area. Benefits are above average for the area. The product your produce is quality. Mentorship: You will meet some of the smartest people in the industry.

Cons

Leadership at every level: C suite is very out of touch and doesn't understand how that impacts retention. Directors don't have direction which makes commitments difficult. Middle managers can't get their arms around problems because of the issues above and are always drowning. RTO: C suite recently brought their entire IT department full time back in office. The business justification they gave? We 'work better together'. There are never meeting rooms available. No spaces to allow for collaboration. We do the same work from our desk at work that we do from our home. All of this after stating that this would never happen and even offered people positions after the fact after changing the policy or very close to it. The best part... the CIO (in charge of fighting for his business unit) was on vacation when the decision was made. Since you are no not allowed to work from home now, You would think you wouldn't be allowed to work from home anymore right? Wrong! They decide to also implement an on-call policy around the same time. It takes 6 months to hire any replacements. They often lose people faster than they can hire.

Pros

-Work in an air conditioned hangar! -All the tools and support needed to do the job -Excellent training available -Good safety culture -Fairly easy work -Lots of opportunities to grow

Cons

Big corporate politics at times. Some people just love to point fingers. Rules that are very excessive due to incompetence, instead of just firing morons.

Pros

Rather decent front loaded time off. 4 day work weeks. A pretty decent off shift incentive.

Cons

Management does not care about their people. They are so far removed from what’s going on on the floor and too focused on passing the buck to someone else for their screw ups. People are placed in positions they should not be in simply because they know someone or they kiss up to someone. The people on the floor have very little fixed wing experience yet act as if they know everything. The only path they create for people to move up is A&P and even then they just want you to stay a mechanic. They neglect to realize that people stay with a company for the culture as well as leave because of it.
