Pros
Good health insurance and PTO - you start off with 4 weeks.
Cons
Extensive working hours (especially during Close) was promoted, if not enforced in the back office led by the Controller. The Controller is from out-of-state so had plenty of time to work around the clock and had that expectation from the accounting team as well. Unprofessional banter, rude comments, and gossip heard through the open office floor. HR is aware of back office culture, but no improvements or management training was ever implemented. Several great analysts with good background in trading left around the same time. So much potential for that company wasted due to poor leadership and management. Outdated systems - lots of manual data entry comparing two accounting systems to consolidate accounting reports. No structure, nor training. Made it difficult for entire department to achieve monthly initiatives and meet deadlines. Front office culture is run differently.
