Toxic culture driven by senior finance leadership - AVOID ! - Finance HBF Employee Review

1. Disrespectful and outright rude senior finance leadership which has instilled a truly toxic work environment. Run like a big 4 consultancy where opportunities and politeness are exclusively reserved for those from this background. It's a shame, as generally the people working here are fantastic and talented but ultimately blunted by poor and at times seemingly non-existent leadership. 2. Staff entertainment budgets are utilised by management offsites with fully funded meals and alcohol with a cheap lunch afforded annually to those non leadership staff. 3. Unfair and non-transparent annual pay reviews with increases recommended by HR processes circumvented by finance leadership who ultimately allocate dependant on their beliefs and opinions of the person. 4. Lack of basic financial controls which seem to be accepted by the finance leadership - unreconciled bank accounts and balance sheet balances which have been so for a number of years. Junior staff have been unfairly pressured and unsupported in trying their best to resolve with seemingly little to no support from management who are ultimately accountable.
