Pros
I took the leap from a much larger competitor to join Halo Financial having worked in the industry for nearly a decade and it is one of the best professional decisions I have ever made.
The company ethos may come across as a little jargon-y to begin with but it soon becomes apparent that it is something that everyone in senior management believes in wholeheartedly. These are not flavour of the month buzzwords, they mean it when they say they want to be a destination for clients and a destination employer.
In an industry that is increasingly cutthroat & uncaring, the honest focus on clients as people and employees as people makes all the uncertainty about moving companies worth it.
The plans for the future are very exciting, and within weeks of joining the company discussions were being had on how my future plans could be incorporated and supported by Halo Financial - Investors in People? You betcha.
Cons
The IT systems are a little behind the times and the in-house trading platform needs replacing - but they are on it.
