Pros

The people here are genuinely some of the best you'll ever work with and for. The teamwork, respect, and support make it a place where you can truly grow professionally and personally. It's no wonder they were voted a top workplace — the culture and leadership are unmatched. I’m grateful for my time here and for the amazing colleagues who made each day a positive and fulfilling experience.

Cons

I do not have any cons. Anything there was an issue with, management would tackle head on.

Pros

Everyone is very nice, and very straightforward. It’s very rare to come across a job where you can truly say you like everyone you work with. There are several events a year (happy hours, company picnics where family members are invited, fun outings) where everyone can get to know each other, even though we mostly work from home. This job is very flexible, and very family friendly. Your coworkers and managers will move mountains to accommodate you, and I think any poor review probably comes from sour grapes—I’ve never seen someone get let go without multiple efforts by management to make it work. You just have to do your job, and communicate when you’re having a hard time with the task or in your personal life. I like that I have the option to work from home every day, but I can also go into the office whenever I want. I like that I can have a crazy schedule in my personal life, but as long as I fit my 8 hours of work somewhere in my day, it’s totally fine. Everyone I work with wants to see people succeed and grow in their career. I think Halo truly does take quality personally, in both the work they submit to the client and the relationships they form with their “Halo Family.” My work is challenging but interesting and I’m very happy to be part of the team.

Cons

Time management can be very difficult when working from home. It’s easy to over-work, and it’s also easy to get distracted and let time slip away (so you might end up working longer hours than you expected if you’re not diligent).

Pros

I have been working here 3 weeks short of a year and I have yet to come across an employee who isn't willing to answer any questions that I have. I was new to the Oil and Gas industry when I started and I learned on the job and didn't have to sit through any exhaustive training sessions. I get to set my own schedule and work from home occasionally. As long as I show proof that I am working and keep up with the responsibilities of my job, no one is looking over my shoulder watching everything that I do. If I do happen to fall behind on anything, management will ask what is going on and offer help instead of approaching me in a threatening way.

Cons

Must be self motivated. It can be hard from time to time when being able to work from home to stay on task and keep up with the duties I am expected to handle on a daily basis. Sometimes its an 8 hour work day, sometimes its longer, you work until you finish your tasks for the day. Sometimes I have to travel a lot in a week in order to handle the responsibilities that have been handed to me. Management was up front with me the day that I interviewed, it was not something that blindsided me after I started.
