Pros
If you are lucky enough to work with good collegues, this is one of the few highlights. Salaries were okay for London living wage and they have a good internal career progression program called 'Get Ahead' as their aim is to 'grow their own' meaning to develop leadership and management from within their own workforce.
Cons
Firstly Kim Dero has not been CEO for almost 4 years so information on this page is outdated. Over the last few years since the current CEO Sharon Lea was handed leadership it has gone down-hill. It is always a problem when you recruit your friends who come from your previous employment in senior leadership roles they are not skilled or qualified to perform effectively. Also we know what happended in Birmingham council, not quite the successs story. The people leading the HR department are corrupt, unintelligent and have no strategic bone in their body. They are 'yes' men for the CEO rather then being a consult as they walked into roles they given as opposed to going through compliant channels like the rest of the workforce. Lets just say there is no syndrome in their imposterization!
