6yThank you for taking the time to leave a review of your experiences working at Hammerson, which raised some very useful points.
We were glad to hear that you felt your role was varied and interesting within a 'hub of the community workplace’, we are proud to have some of the best assets in the sector and are often told by colleagues that our flagships are a highlight of working at Hammerson. We are also pleased to hear that you felt that the benefits (pension, share schemes, healthcare) offered to colleagues were positive; we feel that the significant benefits package offered at Hammerson helps us to attract and retain the very best talent.
Thank you also for your feedback regarding information sharing between colleagues and between the centres and offices. We have been working hard on internal communications over the last 18 months which began with the launch of our new intranet in the end of 2017. I wanted to assure you have we have been focused on making improvements in this area and since you left we have launched the intranet with several new features to improve communication throughout the business, including a ‘shout-outs’ section on the homepage where all colleagues can share news and information.
We were disappointed to hear that the relationship between the centres and offices was not as seamless as is should have been. We acknowledge that we have improvements to make in this area and I’m pleased to say that we have created a Group Employee Forum, including colleagues from across the business which is a constructive and collaborative space for employees to discuss people related and initiatives, and ensures better engagement and two-way dialogues between all departments including senior management.
