Pros

The people here are smart. You will learn a lot very quickly. The structure is flat. Efforts are made to create a strong culture.

Cons

This was my first position out of college. I learned a lot, but my self-esteem and confidence suffered. Founders Jennifer and Connie were very hands-on in educating me about the business and the industry, but they were unforgiving. Leniency is not something I ever expected, but at times I left of the office absolutely shaken as a result of a comment made by Connie or Jennifer about me or my performance, sometimes in front of my then-coworkers. On my final day, I exited the office questioning my career path and my own competence. Jennifer and Connie use negative reinforcement and the fear of (very frequent) layoffs to spur performance in their employees. It works for some, but not for me. I took their negative feedback very hard. When I decided to leave and found a new job with very similar responsibilities, I was amazed to find that I was not incompetent. I was amazed to find that coworkers could be a support system, rather than the competition. That said, Jennifer and Connie and my experience at Happie taught me a great deal--lessons that still benefit me today. Was it worth it? The verdict is out.

Pros

Executive team ( i.e. Jen and Connie) is great at selling their vision of the month to prospective employees. Phil is the backbone of the company and without his efforts, they have no business.

Cons

Most (if not all) negative comments hit the nail on the head. This place is toxic to employees and prospective clients. They had a solid Sales Manager that was in place for a couple of years and I should have left with him when he left! They have changed their business model every 6 months because nothing takes hold. One guy had some great sales with a separate software offering that was not known by him or the other sales people. Management then did their typical knee jerk reaction and changed the business model around thinking that was going to take hold. Then that guy left right afterwards which is weird since he was the only one to have any sales of note. There were zero sales people left by the time I was checking out. They routinely have fake profiles on LinkedIn and have fake employees that give them 5 star ratings on Glassdoor. They even have employees on their website that they list but have been gone for up to a year!! They have maybe 5 total clients ....or 5 clients ever! Their platform is a white label version of HubSpot that they have modified . Stay away for your sanity as well as for your career! No one deserves to deal with their dysfunction. UnHappiest place on earth!! Wish I could rate zero stars because one is too much!
