Bad management - Security Officer Harry Winston Employee Review

Good benefits, pretty decent pay. Beautiful place to work. Management was great and flexible.

You usually have to work weekends but that is pretty standard in retail and its on rodeo drive.

Barely any pros, maybe the product because there are some exceptional pieces of jewelry you get to work with and be around

Too many to name...but here are a few- incompetent management who are never held accountable, poor pay, no benefits other than maybe the name within the industry but the brand is starting to have a negative reputation in terms of the corporate office, mean people who say outlandish things and get away with it, and discrimination to say the least. HR is a total waste there and they will continue to lose talented employees because they are not willing to fire those who negatively affect the culture. The only reason some people have worked there so long is because they are lazy and stick around while the talent leaves, so they end up being promoted by default. The systems used are out dated and leave employees at a disadvantage when leaving because you learn nothing that is useful elsewhere within the industry. I wont be surprised if the company ceases to exist in the future since the owner is running it into the ground. Mr. Winston was fun and whimsical and took risks...HW as it stands today is old, farty, and boring.
