Pros

- Chronic wounds are costly to the healthcare delivery system and misunderstood by providers and the government. - Healogics is the largest provider of chronic wound care services to hospitals in the country, with the largest repository of patient wound data in the industry. - Therefore, in theory, Healogics is in an exciting position to positively impact the policies that govern and the standards that guide the treatment of one of today's most pervasive and underappreciated healthcare challenges.

Cons

- No clear strategic business plan, senior leadership withholding of information and failure to adequately communicate long-term goals and objectives. - Executive bullying and fear-based management promote a toxic culture that makes retention of talented employees nearly impossible. - No emphasis on helping employees meet long-term career goals, lack of learning opportunities, failure to promote mentorship and cross-functional teamwork.

Pros

Depending on your DO, as a Program Director you are the CEO of your facility. I did not experience any micromanaging as long as you performed to standards set.

Cons

You do have to liaison with a Hospital Partner, and sometimes that can be challenging.

Pros

Hosp-based clinics (can charge more), hospitals shoulder burden of buying equipment, if you’re lucky, there is some cool technology out there for wound mgmt. The company won’t buy it. They do training before you start at corp HQ.

Cons

Greed=goal, so patient care is what is sacrificed. Pvt equity needs to get out of healthcare. Too many layers of management. They’ve begun winnowing their higher paid providers down and replacing with less skilled/trained. (This is a trend in the field now.) They seduce you with promises of bonuses that never materialize bc of deductions they take for servicing your acct.
