Salaries are competitive, but COVID has slowed the compensation growth curve and goal posts have changed a bit in relationship to raises, bonuses, etc. I would have hoped for compensation to have stabilized a bit more now that we are a year into COVID, but these are difficult times.
Software development and client support, I think we are in a crucial time with clients and our DevOps teams as figure out the balance between scalability, profitability, and customer needs. We need to keep making sure clients are clear on what we can and can't offer, and also make sure we are not sacrificing client needs for the sake of scalability and profitability.
