Pros

Amazing people, athleisure office attire

Cons

Almost everything promised at the start of my job was taken away- from hands on management training with the CEO, to increased hours & decrease in commission opportunities. The lunchtime workouts and healthy worklife balance turned into 10 hour days with 30 minute breaks. There is minimal growth in the California offices (must be willing to move/relocate to Dallas, which is better than no growth I suppose). They are big on band aid fixes and temporary solutions, which usually ends up making employees do repetitive work that could be automated (which make the long hours that much worse). Minimal training and no mentorship/growth

Thank you for your feedback. We are very pleased that growth is fueling our newest expansion in the DFW area. Not only does this give the organization access to an alternative labor pool, but it also allows us to better service our clientele from the Central Timezone. For better or worse, the employee journey within a start-up can be full of many starts and stops, adds and take-aways, and changes in operations procedures. For many, satisfaction is derived from the journey but we increasingly realize that this environment is not for everyone. As such, we are aggressively monitoring data from and adapting, our cultural selection process to ensure an alignment that fosters employee satisfaction and engagement. Your advice is spot on and we have invested in additional trainers to keep pace with our scaling efforts. The content they can create and deliver while ensuring our workforce is executing at the top of their game and staying informed with the ever-changing insurance industry. Your feedback is welcomed and helps Health IQ growth in the right direction.
