First, the organization and I welcome all feedback, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you feel your experience is anything less than stellar with your direct supervisor and HBI in general. Positive company culture is one of the highest priorities I set for our team - we strive for it every day. It saddens me that you did not feel comfortable coming to me or HR directly to discuss your experience, and I have checked with my leadership team, and no one has heard similar complaints.
I take all complaints very seriously, and will be looking into this. I have an open-door policy for all employees at every level in the company. I would love to hear more about how we can make HBI better. Please private message me or HR, whichever you prefer, through SLACK, and we can set up a time to talk. That said, I am sure that I know who this is and that you are not an active employee.
Yes, I have invited our employees who love working for our organization to leave a review, sharing their authentic experience working at HBI. We value our employees' opinions. It would be unwise for us not to ask our employees to share their feedback about HBI. There is a reason the overwhelming majority of reviews here are all very positive and our turnover low, much lower than industry standards. The only negative reviews tend to be former employees who were let go for performance-related issues.
We wouldn't be here if it weren't for our customers; their health is why HBI exists. I have communicated about our best-in-class customer service philosophy. A positive, win-win experience for all involved. We are determined to help our customers live a pain-free life, and doing so is our mission.
I have opened multiple channels to hear from employees. A team of managers is involved in the organization's day-to-day operations; they are always open to feedback and laser-focused on making the company a great place to work. They welcome your ideas and feedback. I am personally engrossed in the day-to-day operations. I'm on SLACK from morning until night, always open to interacting with employees and learning anything I can about the company. We have used stay and exit interviews, anonymous surveys, manager feedback, culture pulse programs, messaging channels, open-door policies, and more. Many employees use these methods regularly to share their thoughts, suggestions, and opinions providing feedback on all sorts of company-related topics, like operational suggestions, customer trends and concerns, and more. I'm sorry you don't feel comfortable doing so. That is unfortunate. That said, I know we are not perfect; no organization is, but we are doing our very best and are constantly improving.
Regarding compensation, we recognize we are competing with larger organizations for our employees. We constantly look at external data and feedback to stay competitive, as competitive as we can be. With remote workers across the country, we have employees in over 27 states nationwide. We allow every employee the opportunity to work from their home office, never having to endure long commutes, large gas bills for work travel, work attire bills, and any other expenses that go along with working outside of the home. We offer health benefits and paid time off. Compensation is indicated in our job postings and has not gone down during your tenure, even as the country went through the COVID crises. Our goal is always to pay our employees an above-market wage and, ideally, as much as possible while running a profitable operation.
All of that said, one of our core values is “Be Great” and so, we are always striving to improve and again, we take all feedback very seriously. So, if there is an opportunity for improvement we will surely gather as a team, figure it out and make it happen!
