Pros
- Culture: One of the things I appreciate most about working at Heard is how our therapists (our customers) are at the center of everything we do. It helps shape our culture to be based on transparency, innovation, and quick learning.
- Benefits: This past summer, the team significantly improved our health benefits, which has been a game-changer! I appreciated that the team listened to our feedback on this need and acted quickly. Additionally, we are fully remote (both a pro and a con!), have a monthly wellness benefit, and a home office setup stipend. We also have a really strong parental leave policy compared to other startups I’m aware of. Honestly, these are some of the most solid benefits I’ve had in a long time.
- Team: Our team is made up of some of the smartest, most caring, and dedicated people I’ve worked with. They push me every day to do the best work I can to ensure we’re supporting our therapists and each other along the way.
Cons
- Similar to one of the reviews below, we had some layoffs and a related reorganization a few months ago, which was tough. Fortunately, I felt really supported by my manager and our ELT, and I understand why we had to make that decision, but it’s still hard to see our teammates leave.
- As a fully remote company, I’d love to have more opportunities to get together in person. We do an annual full-team offsite, which has been wonderful, but it’s only once a year.
