Pros
The opportunity to advance is here, if you’re willing to learn and put in the work for it (as it should be). Most of the time you work with great people (at the plant level). Good pay, especially for a young kid with no real experience. Ok benifits Good 401k plan Yearly bump in pay. Good hours. Recession proof
Cons
The uncertainty from one week to the next on hours. Being treated as if we’re are just a number or general population at the plant level. No real on boarding process for new hires. Once the recruiter is done with you, it’s left up to the office manager half the time, and in turn they really don’t know what to do because they haven’t been shown the proper steps. ***This really isn’t a con I guess, but more of a personal opinion, than anything. It’s frustrating, come the holidays, and the company hands you a $75 gift card to Walmart, or a code for points on a site, and then you hear about others farther up the chain getting decent bonuses, and the little guys pretty much just get a hand shake. I get at the end of the day, we don’t have to receive anything, but also the little guys at the bottom are also the ones that are getting upper management those bonuses.
