Pros
High visibility within organization, work on many cross-functional teams, ability to grow in role and also move up in the organization. Close knit team of 30 engineers, managers, and lab personnel create a competitive but also relaxed culture. If you have any issues, everyone is willing to help and there are plenty of mentor opportunities. Good networking opportunity as you interact with customers small and large on a daily basis (conference calls, site visits, training sessions). You learn a lot of skills and go through a lot of very good structured training. The training is better than that of the university as they keep it short, to the point, and include plenty of practice and feedback.
Cons
Travel can become >50% if you are not careful with managing it. Expectations are higher in this department than elsewhere at Henkel.
