Pros

nice office and amazing team members

Cons

-Too many egos, especially the CEO's. Do not get paid fairly as we do all the work but get none of the credit. -No upward mobility. Firm is always going to be a flat boutique and the CEO left and stole clients from another firm to start HSP. I am sure the only way to get treated fairly will be if some of the team members leave and start their own firm. -Too much administrative work. -Hard to work with Warburg and KKR without having issues. Dont think we always do what is best for our clients. Too many that want the same thing. -Obsession with beating CPI. Not sure if we lost some clients or team members to them or what but not sure why they are always such a focus.

Pros

Wonderful and supportive culture & a lean and dynamic work environment. Collaborative, hardworking, friendly and all-around delightful team. HSP prides itself on a commitment to excellence, and we have a lot of fun along the way! Great place to build a career and competitive salary/benefits. Stable, solid business & intellectually stimulating work.

Cons

Unpredictable busy period of the year, though it doesn’t last longer than a few weeks and compensation makes up for the hard work that goes into it.

Pros

The team at HSP is truly unparalleled. From the most junior to the most senior professional, the people are a highlight of the organization. Employees at HSP strive for excellence and are incredibly supportive (both professionally and personally). The culture is very collegial and collaborative with a good mix of hardworking and fun. From extra “surprise” monetary bonuses over the years to fun teambuilding trips & activities to handwritten cards and even sending flowers to a team member feeling down, the founders are incredibly generous and thoughtful. They do everything in their power to make HSP a place you want to stay for a long time. Almost half of the team has been at the firm for over 7 years, which is unheard of in today’s times. Everyone genuinely cares about one another, and often we feel more like friends/family than co-workers. It’s not a hierarchical place at all; there is an “open door” policy and senior leadership will always make time for the team. Hard work is rewarded, and I am incredibly proud to work here.

Cons

The hours can be long at times, but this ebbs and flows, and over the course of a year, there is a lot of flexibility, including summer Fridays and a hybrid remote work policy. There is some unpredictability and uncertainty around the timing of our busy season, which can make it challenging to plan. That said, the team has an all-hands on deck mindset and pushes through to deliver the best results to our clients, and I’ve come to cherish some of the memories from our late nights together.
