My first review of this company contained some subjective comments and led to a threat of legal action and withholding of pay. I am providing a plain and factual account of my experience at this company.
When hired I was told I would be working within a team, but from day one I was in a team of one and managed by someone with a different skills background. I found it difficult to obtain clear direction and did not receive the support I would deem appropriate to allow me to succeed in the position.
Midway through my probation I was threatened with dismissal, I had received no formal indication that my performance was unsatisfactory up until this point. I was told after delivering a presentation and ‘knocking it out of the park’ I would have been fired if I hadn’t.
Management sent an email on 10/11/2020 to enforce an impromptu 'one day notice' period for all employees in probation (affecting a high proportion of staff). This was not only an enforced contract change without consultation but breaches employment law by denying employees statutory notice periods (7 days). This was challenged and management attempted to enforce the one day notice period upon until the involvement of a board member.
For October/November I was paid 14 days later than my contractual date. I received a range of responses to my enquiry into why I was not paid on time. I was informed by others that this problem was widespread and affected many employees.
When I challenged the reasons given for my dismissal I was denied an opportunity to discuss matters in full and was in formed that 'we consider the matter closed'. I do not agree with the reasons given for my dismissal and I have not been given fair hearing to amend this account of my performance, meaning I am unable to rely upon this company for a fair reference.
I have an ongoing legal dispute with the company and their treatment of me including: disregarding my statutory rights; enforced contract change; and fair representation of my performance.
I am aware of incidents within the company between management and employees including comments of an inappropriate nature and an attempt to cover them up. As well as more than one other case of contested dismissal and final payment refusal. I am suspicious of the origin of the positive reviews on this website as they do not reflect my experience or that of those I spoke to regarding working at this company.
Benefits are you will usually be paid on time but not always, you will be able to receive statutory notice if you threaten legal action. Downsides, you may be unhappy, be the recipient of inappropriate comments and have your contract changed without consultation or any reciprocal benefits.
