Pros

Met long term friends that were employees.

Cons

The company refuses to give out reviews due to the number of upper management/shareholders that are involved and lack of accountability. They have 6 sectors with x2 that are truly profitable. Instead of giving raises, they praise profit sharing. At the end of the day the profit sharing comes out to pennies on the dollar. You won't feel valued working for Highmark as your salaries will not fluctuate. You'll get hired with tons of false promises about structure when in reality there is none. They will preach about their 5 core values when in reality upper management has no accountability to them. You will feel stuck with only internal lateral movement at the end of the day, searching for your next career move.

Pros

Highmark prides itself on it's culture - Wise, Intentional, Driven, Trustworthy & Humble. They say steel sharpens steel - the Leadership & Managers who work here are the best of the best and work hard to coach others up. The owners care not only about the employees that work here, but the community they serve.

Cons

Any time you're working in the Construction Industry, there are a lot of parties involved - The client, the Salesperson, the Project Manager, the insurance company, their mortgage company... there's many cooks in the kitchen to ensure a Highmark quality product. Communication can be challenging, but Highmark has invested in tools & training to help all parties work in lock step.
