Pros
Decent pay and benefits. You will also learn a lot.
Cons
I saw that Hines has changed their logo to include "pride." I was severely disappointed, but not surprised, to see that Hines has partaken in "corporate pride." As a POC and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I can assure you that I didn't feel any support or any push for diversity within this firm. Work life balance is abysmal here. They're all talk and no action. They keep having these "discussions" and "seminars" about diversity, but nothing ever gets done. I feel as if the point of these events is to appease their egos and give themselves a pat on the back. And in one of these meetings, I made it clear that work life balance is important to me because one day I will have a child. Being an LGBT couple, my partner and I will not have the typical gender roles (which even hetero couples should do away with, but that's a topic for another day). They gave me this shocked look. It was then, I knew this company isn't the company for me, nor will provide any support to the members of our community. I don't think Hines is an ally and if they want to be, they have a lot more to do than just change their logo colors.
