Pros

There is nothing pros about his Company unless you are VERY DESPERATE and you will bow down (Korean Culture) when the "President" walks in.

In the past 2 weeks, I have worked approximately close to 80 hours/per week, of which these hours are documented. The “President” Shawn Kim or that’s what he calls himself of Hiossen Canada (4 employees, all Korean do not hire Caucasian race because that employee will be very verbose and do not hire female reps in general. There were 4 reps and 1 sales support in training and left after 2 weeks. Here is the ad on the Hiossen Canada Website. • Must have college degree or equivalent, outside sales experience preferred but will train, have a valid driver��s license and vehicle. Bilingual (Korean/English, Chinese/English, Vietnamese/English, Spanish/English, etc.) will be very helpful. I was not provided information prior to my employment that the routine schedule would be like this. Moreover, I have received various requests to attend to work, during the weekend and the long weekend labour day holiday. I have also been told by a co-league to ignore lunch breaks during my training with him, visiting other accounts as “There is no time”, until I firmly insisted that I had to attend to having a meal break. Product training is reading the catalog in the car on the way to visit accounts. As a result of this, I am producing few articles about HiOssen online and will file a small’s claim law suit for my overtime pay.

This is a highly dysfunctional and poorly operated organization. The internal culture places an excessive emphasis on micromanagement rather than empowering employees to perform at a high level. Leadership relies heavily on control and pressure-driven tactics, which ultimately leads to disengagement and low morale across the team. There is a clear lack of modern leadership practices, with management prioritizing authority over effective problem-solving and team development. Instead of fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment, the focus often shifts toward maintaining control, which limits both individual and organizational growth. Compensation is not competitive with industry standards, and the commission structure lacks transparency and consistency. In many cases, it feels unnecessarily complex, making it difficult for employees to clearly understand or maximize their earnings. The company also experiences high turnover, which reflects deeper systemic issues within leadership and culture. While it may offer short-term experience, it is not an environment that supports long-term professional growth.
