In this environment, you cannot succeed, learn and grow. There is a lack of training, and employees are held accountable for this lack of training. When asked for more training or a job description, it is not provided and deemed not necessary. Micromanagement is excessive from the CEO of the company. You feel like you are walking on eggshells. It's very stressful and hard to do your job under these circumstances. Micromanaging every aspect of the company is a detriment to the employees. There are no annual raises, instead, you have to beg for them. In response to these reviews, the company will respond that yearly raises are given, but they are not. When you do get a raise, it is less than the annual inflation. Random products show up at your door without reason. When questioned about why a product arrives, you are told to review the product and take & edit pictures and videos. This is not done during work hours. It must be done during your off-work time using personal devices and uploading digital content to company programs. The review process takes several hours to several days. You receive no compensation. A $20 - $30 product does not account for six or more hours of extra work using personal devices. Occasionally, an employee may be asked before a product arrives. Receiving the product is your compensation. The problem is when items arrive without being asked, which happens often. There is a fear of saying no because you'll lose your job, as demonstrated by the history of employees disagreeing with the CEO. There is no work/life balance. Outside of working during your off-time for product reviews, you are expected to work other times while not being paid. Employees are told to find deals in stores, take pictures and videos and upload them on personal time. It is mentioned in work channels almost weekly. Check work correspondence must be done daily, so as not to miss critical daily updates and announcements. This includes after-work hours, vacation, and days off. Extra time is not given to check for these updates as you must start working immediately on other tasks. Employees are held accountable for missing work updates. There are no stipends or compensation for using your personal computer, phone, and internet. Employees must load apps onto personal phones for the good of the company to test codes. Refusal to load apps or ask a coworker for help, results in being humiliated for not doing your job correctly. The number of apps exceeds 30 including work management systems apps and other apps deemed mandatory for work productivity. Although the SEO will say she wants feedback on improving company processes, the input goes largely ignored, or you are mistreated for providing input. When given feedback that the CEO doesn't like, employees are targeted. When targeted, an employee is ignored and receives no credit for achievements, while others on the same team receive accolades. These problems translate to the customers and reduce brand trust. Due to nepotism, select employees receive special treatment as mistakes, and low productivity is overlooked. No one is trained to help employees with staff development, labor relations, and culture. Due to nepotism, there is no safe place to talk to anyone about company policies or grievances, and mental health is not a priority. There is no work/life balance, and missed time due to a family issue (taking kids to school/ doc appointments), is expected to be made up versus using PTO or taking time off w/o pay. Be careful in reviewing company responses to these reviews. After enough defensive responses are written, it becomes clear who is telling the truth. They try to say there are inconsistencies in these reviews. The only discrepancies are in their lack of acting upon employee complaints.
