Pros

Flexible work schedule but it requires 24x7 availability

Cons

No real time off, will work vacations, Holidays, sick days, bereavement days etc.. Will need to be available to calls at all hours because of the international functionality. You pay will not increase much from your hire date. maybe 1-2 percent a year. Company always seems to be floundering financially. Systems do not talk to each other and work requires you to access multiple systems to get anything done. Management has lofty goals but funds are never available to implement functional systems.

Pros

Can learn new skills on projects, if you take the self initiative. Decent bonus pay-outs - although always short of full target. Margin is going up (although revenue is going down and layoffs are going up)

Cons

Company says they value diversity, but is not diverse at all. Almost all US hiring is Indian. We are told to bring over "landed resources" from India, so that we can pay them 15% - 20% less than US workers. They really abuse the H1 Visa process. Management is very poor and most good leaders and resources have left the company over the years. In over a decade - received zero raise 6 times. When there are raises they are 1 - 2%. Multiple failed mergers and divestitures - Hitachi Consulting, Hitachi Data Systems, Hitachi Vantara, Hitachi Solutions, Hitachi Digital Services - and now Global Logic - which I am sure will be unsuccessful as well. When I started Hitachi Consulting was $500M in revenue. Currently Hitachi Digital Services is $500M in revenue. Literally zero growth in over a decade. Lay-offs every year. Stay away from this company, as obviously something is not working well.
