Pros

- Lot of opportunities for those who want to grow. Company invests in the professional (not just technically) growth of employees. - Lot if fun activities at work place including cultural events, technical fests and outings, its up to you how much you want to get involved, opportunities are countless. - Work from home option takes away a lot of stress. In general, the work hours can go up to 18 hours (extremely rare for me) or come down to 0 hours depending upon the project demand but the people and policies at GDC (India) are supportive. - Company has a lot of ways to appreciate the people who are putting in extra efforts. - Its a good place to learn and work on the latest technologies.

Cons

- Although its a good place to work on the latest technologies and progress in your career, for many people the aspiration is to go onsite. There were no onsite opportunities for the last couple of years but I guess there have been some good news for the onsite aspirants recently. - Don't expect frequent promotions. - Sometimes it feels like some undeserving people are ahead of you in the career path because of there age. - The company has a very good vision and values but not everyone (even at the mid management level) understands it completely.

Pros

Decent pay, average benefits, some autonomy to get things done

Cons

The entire leadership group that I was hired under was gone within 18 months and replaced but far worse examples. Micro-managing and then threatening corrective action plans as a means to force out those who they didn't like or earned too much. From a technology perspective, the storage products are average and inline with competition, but with far fewer reps in the field and no real marketing or inside sales to speak of, Hitachi Vantara is largely irrelevant in the Storage industry now.
