Pros

The ELT is coming around to ideas and listening more and more to the voice of the customer. New additions to leadership are greatly improving the business and gaining market share.

Cons

Growing pains from some heritage, old way of thinking, members.

Pros

Only single pro was the discount on parts but you will need money from previous ventures because you wont earn enough to buy a spark plug here. I thought working remotely would be pro but the micromanaging on steroids will be worst than have a desk right across from Mr. HOLLEY himself(whoever that is). Wait there's another pro...leaving and getting a peace of mind back.

Cons

They train you partially on two categories carburetors and EFi...Partially. however there are more than 40k skews so there's a lot to be desired. You're expected to just grind it out on the phone jerking customers who know more about the product than you, then while drowning for months and years maybe you can ger familiar with 30% of the calls. Typically after 6months of being in a position you become comfortable, thats not the case here. Quietly is has become acceptable to be an employee here for many moons and still not be able to tune an EFI car. Sometimes you will shy away from saying you work here because someone will ask you to tune and you will say ummm or perhaps end up blowing their intake on the neighbors lawn. Training is lacking immensely. Most the coworkers are car guys and good people..and helpful. However there's a greedy culture that's permitted to where the seniors blocks sales from new guys and its even policy...don't laugh. If you went from being a mechanic to this then you will enjoy it for a second. In this case all you know is that your back isn't bent over a fender wrenching. If you're a mechanic and have worked corporate and have experienced structure, protocol, and flexibility then you will turned off quickly. Before working here being homeless may be a more viable option, in this case go to the Florida keys. Good employee discounts but you won't have money to take advantage, unless you come in with bread like I did. When you buy as much stuff as i did then they audit you like you're breaking the rules..lol. Long explanatory emails will be necessary. This is their trick, its available as a potential job perk but hey don't use too much buddy. If you have a friend that has fallen out of good grace with you then recommend this job. SALES Technician, be sure to say Sales Technician..hahaha...laughing to keep from crying.
