Cons
I worked here 10 months. The work is very repetitive, & sedentary. The first month I worked for HomElectrical I didn't my first paycheck until a MONTH after my start date.
When I did get my first pay check, it was only for the first TWO weeks of work. Their pay schedule is 2 weeks behind. Everyone gets their check a month after their start date. They named the job titled 'Data Entry Specialist' so they can pay you less than you deserve. However, your job title changes to 'Product Development Specialist' once you get hired. Still, you will only make about $10-11an hour max. The pay isn't enough to live on for someone alone with a car payment, rent, kids to feed, etc. Luckily I didn't have any of that while I worked for this company. Employees at this company aren't valued & you can get replaced without warning. For example, management had been planning on replacing me with one of my co-worker's friends for about 4 weeks before I left. It's because the direct manager & that co-worker are close friends and the direct manager has a huge problem with favoritism.
For example, the manager likes to compare the work of his employees over one another and basically tells people, "Why can't you work like Employee A? Employee A has done 50 more products than you!" He does this to his co-workers even though he knows that when you develop products for certain vendors everyone develops them differently and some products require more research than others. He knows this and still likes to compare people's work. It's his biggest issue and a sign of bad management.
They don't offer 401K or full benefits (just medical insurance).
This company doesn't care about their employees enough or values them enough to understand how they affect their lives. They only care about themselves. There are higher paying jobs out there with full benefits! Find them just don't work here.
