Pros

A FEW people were decent and friendly, but I "wasn't allowed to talk to them". Once 5 rolled around, I didn't have to think about work until I came in at 8 the next day.

Cons

There are cliques and too much gossip in the corporate office. During my interview I was told it was a very "team-oriented" department and there was room for advancement, but those were lies. In the contract department we were treated like slaves. Management did absolutely nothing. They weren't even in the office most days and they would talk poorly about other members in the department to me, which I thought was unprofessional. I finished my work hours before the day was over and spent the rest of the time helping others who were behind, which I enjoyed. But I got "counseled" for talking too much to my coworkers. If you asked for time off you needed to provide a reason and management would decide if it was a good reason or not, which I'm pretty sure isn't legally allowed. I was the top person on my team month after month, but not once was I acknowledged. Instead, I was criticized. They hired myself and 3 others because the whole department before us had quick! No advancement, no "team" kind of attitude, and no respect. Training was a joke and if other employees did their jobs properly, the department wouldn't even need to be there anyway.

Home Paramount Pest Control Response

Thank you for your review, we’re very sorry to hear you did not have a pleasant experience with Home Paramount Pest Control but we do appreciate all feedback. We do our best to foster a pleasant work environment as we recognize that this is important. During busy season the workload requires increased concentrations and efforts from all personnel including in the compliance specialist role you refer to. However, this does not discourage co-worker collaboration and if anything coordination of efforts is more required than ever. No employee is ever criticized for requesting additional training or for assisting their team members. Again, we are sorry that you did not enjoy your time at Home Paramount but wish you the very best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Supportive management and effective teamwork. A really good fit for me because I enjoy face-to-face sales, independence, and interacting with different customers – no sitting behind a desk all day doing boring stuff. Competitive salary. Can be an excellent choice if you’re motivated and good with people.

Cons

Pressure to hit quotas and generate leads (as in any sales job, I guess)

Pros

Can't think of any positives for working here.

Cons

The entire company is run by control freaks! Upper management has no real field experience yet loves to micromanage every move like they know better. Training is almost nonexistent, but expectations are sky high, then they act shocked when mistakes happen. Bullying is treated like motivation, and Abuse gets brushed off as part of the culture. HR plays favorites and sides with leadership every time, while anyone who speaks up gets labeled a problem or a liar. You are expected to spend your own money on supplies while being told to be grateful for the job. Family ownership means you are replaceable without hesitation, and once you see how deceptive the leadership is. it all feels exhausting and gross. Another thing is how money gets handled. Paychecks never match the effort, raises are a fantasy, and any talk about bonuses is just noise to keep people quiet. You start noticing leadership making penny pinching decisions that directly mess with you day, like reusing broken tools or cutting corners that make the job harder and less safe. Watching them preach loyalty while refusing to invest even a little back into the people doing the work is draining in a way that sneaks up on you. What finally broke me was the vibe of constant suspicion. Cameras, tracking, random check ins, all of it makes you feel like you are guilty by default. Conversations stop when certain people walk into the room, and coworkers disappear without explanation, which keeps everyone tense. There is no trust, no sense of team, just survival mode until you find something better. You leave feeling less confident than when you started, which says a lot about the kind of place this really is.
