Stay away from Hometrust! They have very little customer traffic, and they simply can not compete with larger banks. They can't offer the CD rates that larger banks can. Their training program is ridiculous.... it involves a workbook (or "pre-work" as they call it ) with big fill in the blank sections to complete while you read the extensive manual online. Also, you will need to plan on traveling for Teller training because the training center is in Asheville. You also must pass a written test at the end of training. Our branch has old outdated drawers, vault, and drive thru system from the 70s but yet has updated computer systems and scanners. Our branch is so DEAD you may think you're in a library....Barely any customer traffic at all. Boring & the days drag by so slowly. I don't understand how they can even afford to keep the branch open with the lack of customers.... No advancement or opportunity to meet goals. Overall just a bank to steer clear of. Apply anywhere else. Don't waste your time here like I did!
