Free 2 bedroom apartment and parking. Some tenants are friendly and keep the job interesting. Paid training. Annual company bbq is fun.
Cons
Very low pay. Stressful and overwhelming work. Physically demanding. Our building managers rarely helped us, we were taken advantage of and ours butts were kissed because there is a “secret” $1000 bonus for the building managers if the superintendents stay at the same site for a year. Of course, you as a super will not be told of this. Beware of this. Lastly, it’s incredibly difficult to leave this place of work if you don’t have enough saved money to do so. The amount of pay you get is merely enough to feed you and your families mouths plus some bills maybe. You are expected to move within 1-2 days following your resignation day.
