Pros
Exciting product to work with. Colleagues are some of the nicest, sweetest, most adaptable people you'll ever meet, which makes for very good company for the long hours you're bound to do.
Cons
- Expansion rapid, office can't hold us all (some of us actually hadn't worked on proper desks in a while). - Wages are so-so. - Hours are long. People are expected to stay longer than 6pm even if work has been completed. If you don't stay you'll be gossiped about. - No staff benefits except for healthcare: no staff discount; meal claims for OT hours are highly discouraged upon (their reason being "you will go out to eat anyway"); meal claims are not enough to even hit the bare minimum order on their own app. - Most importantly, micromanaging is done to insane levels. I have seen designers literally being asked to move specific elements on Illustrator by people who are not creatives. I have seen non-writers change the work of writers word-for-word. Coffee breaks not allowed, even though we regularly spend lunch time in the office. CEO shouts and screams as if his staff members are children below 12.
