Pros

You will do some amazing work in support of the scholars in the program. All of the scholars are wonderful to get to know and you work harder knowing that what you do supports them. The volunteers who support Boys Hope Girls Hope are incredible individuals, as well. You will work with some truly remarkable people.

Cons

Management is all over the place. Everyone seems to have their own idea of how to get something done, which impedes any progress. This may be due to the fact that communication is little to nonexistent. Everyone seems to be so busy trying to figure out what exactly they are supposed to do that they do not have time to communicate with others. Also, the astonishing amount of turnover should be an indication that something might be wrong.

Pros

Working at Hope Ignites has been a rewarding experience. Being part of a mission that truly changes lives is something special. The team here is outstanding: everyone is extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and easy to work with. Even though it’s a lean staff, the collaboration is strong and the environment is genuinely positive. The hybrid schedule offers great flexibility, and because of the smaller team size, you have the opportunity to take on meaningful, high-impact projects that you might not get to touch in a larger organization. It's a great place to grow your skills while doing work that really matters.

Cons

As it's a non-profit, the teams are small so you're doing a great deal of work during busy times of the year.

Pros

Cool mission, great building and amenities for the kids

Cons

Awful, insecure managers. Was fired after 2 weeks with no explanation.
