Pros

- Great co-workers (for the most part) - You can learn a lot if you have a good team and are given responsibilities - Despite the various Cons, the working environment and office space is pleasant - The company changes and grows fast (though not always for the better) which means you won't be doing the same thing everyday; as long as you are good at what you do, you'll be given more responsibilities and different opportunities in time - If you play your cards right you might have the opportunity to gain new skills and become proficient in different areas (but don't expect any gratitude or recognition)

Cons

- The compensation will most probably not be competitive at all. I'd suggest doing some research if this is one of your primary concerns. You will probably only earn around 70% (Or even less) of what other companies offer. - Tying along with compensation: there are almost no benefits. The company/upper management rarely gives the impression that they value their employees. You get crappy medical insurance and that's about it. - Very low effort in retaining employees. People come and go every couple of months (even weeks!). This does not help promote any feeling of longevity or worth as an employee. Even if you do a good job, you could be the next one who's let go or criticized for leaving. - The company has a habit of hiring people with no experience/qualifications at a low cost, so you'll likely find that many people you work with are very incompetent and not good at their job. Which in turns means you can't learn anything from them and have to waste time fixing other people's mistakes. - Company values: none. The only values you’ll find in the company will come from your co-workers, it does not include the direction, which you will barely see. It is a “big family” without mom or dad to count on…only brothers and sisters. Hierarchy and who's been there longest matters way more than it should. - Organization and Communication: zero, there is no clear direction, it's basically a big mess and many people don't know what's going on and who to address their concerns to. - They never want to invest in employees/outsourcing/pretty much anything because of "cost". - They have poor consideration for their employees. They won't hesitate to sack people without any notice or valid explanation. But they ask you to give many months of notice and pay them when you want to resign. - The company suffers from a total lack of honesty towards their employees and their clients. There is no transparency about anything. - The salary is very very low especially when you start (for 6 months at least) so unless you have some savings or people who can support you, living in Dubai will be very hard. The direction will tell you it’s enough, but they don’t realize how hard it is to make ends meet with such a ridiculously low monthly income. - Working hours are not flexible. When you arrive late even for a few minutes, they will try to hold it against you or even deduce money from your salary, but if you stay late, don't expect anything from them... - In short, do not expect to receive much compensation for your efforts.

Pros

Absolutely nothing, zero. .....well, the good thing is you get to join the ex-HD club!

Cons

This company is registered in Dubai, UAE all their telemarketers are purely contractors. Effectively the head office has only max of 6 employees including the owner at any given time. (thats if they have their 1 marketing, 1 graphic designer and 1 admin or accountant) effectively the company is only run by 3 people. The owner, operations and finance. 1. you will not receive your salary on time as they will use your money to fund their business 2. be prepared to be blame for all their mistakes when you resign (those that has absolutely nothing to do with you) 3. expect to be threaten into paying your UAE work visa when you resign - (under UAE law, work visa is to be paid for by the employer) threats like " you know when your new employer calls for verification, I can always say that you are not good'. 4. expect to get involvement of a lawyer to either get back your salary or fees or any payment (i.e if you are a service provider many emails to chase for your payment) when you resign. 5. expect to get the involvement of DMCC as a mediator to get back your salary (the company is registered under JLT and if you have UAE Work VISA, Ministry of Labour and DMCC will be able to intervene) 6. you may or mayn't have insurance if you are working for them as a program manager outside of Dubai not enough..... i think these 5 points are enough for you to find opportunity somewhere else.
