The pay is abysmal. When they charge customers $43 USD per 1K words, the best writers only make $20 at best while doing the massive bulk of the work. (I made $15 as one of their top writers in client retention and satisfaction.) Their management is subpar. I regularly had to remind them to pay me for completed projects, and turnover meant I had to explain myself constantly to new middle managers meant to watch me. I took the job during COVID when I needed work, and I got out the first chance I could.
