Pros

Great people, I battled in the trenches with my fellow reps everyday. All of us unsatisfied, frustrated and ignored by management which ended up bonding us. The only good thing that came from my tenure at Houzz is my promotion to AE for my resume.

Cons

Bad leads from over 10 years ago, ZERO work life balance if you are going to try to hit your monthly goal, awful sales planning leading to unrealistic targets. The management is totally out of touch and constantly blame reps for falling short of goal. Favoritism and playing a political game are very real here. If a manager doesn't take a special interest in you you'll eventually fail. All upper management are DROWNING in the koolaid while their entire sales staff is unhappy. ZERO consistency/stability in goals, compensation and product. Houzz is suffering from a SEVERE identity crisis.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, though I do wish your experience with us had been better. Thank you for mentioning the people at Houzz - I agree they are amazing. I’m sorry to read we did not meet your expectations as you described here and I acknowledge there has been a lot of change as we’ve fully invested in selling software. That being said, we are always open to feedback on what we can do better, so if you are open to a conversation, please get in touch.
