Pros
My experience with Howspace so far has been excellent. Howspace is a flat organization and we work both independently and collaboratively mostly in our regional teams, as well as functional teams. We have a growing presence here in North America, and we are always connected to our colleagues in Europe through Slack, Zoom and various internal workspaces. I appreciate the flexible working hours, trust-based system and the growth opportunities. When I started at Howspace, I believe there was ~40 employees, now there is over 60. With the positive and drama-free colleagues, great product and happy customers, it is easy to stay motivated. I am happy to be on this professional growth journey.
Cons
It is a "start-up" environment so it takes a lot of self-leadership and initiative to stay consistently productive. Additionally, I don't blame Howspace, but it's the pandemic and government restrictions which disallows in-person collaboration with the team. I do miss the energy of in-person working sessions and team-building, but hopefully by late 2021 or early 2022 we can return to that.
