Pros

I've been a developer at HubStor for over a year now, and I can say that it is the best company I've worked with in my 20+ years of experience. I encountered two major family issues since starting and the management here has been incredibly supportive, compassionate and generous, especially given my short tenure at the company. As a developer... it's been a pleasure to develop new features as the codebase is clean and tidy, without a lot of technical debt, and there is a fair bit of leeway for new design ideas.

Cons

HubStor is 100% remote. While I like this, I do sometimes miss the in-person office environment.

Pros

I have been with HS for 10 months as of this writing and it has been by far an excellent experience for me. I love working in small environments with an incredibly cohesive team around me where everyone is very supportive of each other. I enjoy the culture that has been set where we are challenged to bring ideas and knowledge every day to the table. Coming from big "corp", this atmosphere is so much of a breath of fresh air if you like small companies with big visions. I would highly recommend HubStor as a place of employment for anyone who is driven and ambitious to succeed in their career.

Cons

I personally do not have any but if there's one to mention, it would be that HubStor is a 100% remote company. Some people cannot work on their own; If you've never worked at home by yourself and enjoy the daily "water cooler break room talks", this company is not the right fit.

Pros

Interesting tech but limited by CEOs lack of vision

Cons

Homophobic and Transphobic place to work. Lack of vision for the product beyond basic functionality. No plans for integrating things like AI, surveillance and IoT into the solution.

Interesting. Two points worth noting: 1) Like any competitive business, we indeed discriminate. However, we do not discriminate based on age, race, gender, religion, political views, etc. Instead, we most certainly discriminate based on work ethic, aptitude, and fit at the company given the team culture that exists here. In other words, we aim for top talent and people that are both highly competent and highly motivated. If you join HubStor and miss this mark, we don't hesitate to correct the situation by letting you go. 2) Integrating AI, surveillance, and IoT are not off the table, but what makes priority on HubStor's roadmap must make sense in light of relevant market opportunities and actual customer demand.
