Pros
The product is high quality and can truly make a difference in people's lives. Team is small which means you have the potential for building a resume or projects for a portfolio quickly. Most people in the company are genuinely nice.
Cons
There are only about 20 people in the office, but turnover is high. If your performance doesn't live up to expectations (whatever that means), they will replace you...and likely already have your successor lined up when they do so. This is terrible for employee morale and the anxiety it creates discourages people from sticking around for too long. It's difficult to find your place in the team. There are a few queen bees who call the shots and get things done by bullying those around them. There's little structure or order to the project management which results in constantly running from fire to fire. The retail marketing cycle means lots of work to be done during the holidays. The work itself could potentially be interesting, but I found that when I was constantly scared for my job, the anxiety paralyzed me into creating subpar work.
