Pros

The Benefits start on Day 1, there is no probationary period for Benefits to start. You get a Decent Vehicle and a decent phone. You are given your assignments and mare left alone to do what you need to do. Dispatch does not rush you through calls all day. Management is cool, just don't get on the wrong side of them. Good overtime policies.

Cons

Summertime can be brutal work hours. You cannot drive your vehicle over 80 MPH. Not much opportunities for advancement .

Pros

A consistent five‑day work week schedule.

Cons

Hussmann may be a recognizable name, but the internal experience is far from positive. Management is consistently reported as disorganized, unresponsive, and disconnected from the day‑to‑day realities employees face. Support from leadership is minimal, and follow‑through on basic issues is often lacking. Advancement is rare, and many employees feel stuck with no clear path forward regardless of performance or effort. These problems contribute to a workplace culture that feels negative, discouraging, and unnecessarily stressful. Stronger leadership, real opportunities for growth, and a genuine commitment to employee well‑being are badly needed. I would never recommend working at Hussmann.
