Pros
The store is really clean Full-time came with $1/hour promotion You can listen to headphones during your shift which is really nice Not as much customer service as cashiering--and definitely a different dynamic The work was physical and I felt "fit" while working there
Cons
Work life balance is tough with overnight hours and MUCH worse if you're full-time. Full-time was a huge commitment, at least at the time when we were understaffed. You could only go home when all the work was done, sometimes including things like facing other departments than our own and getting carts from the parking lot. (We started at 10pm. One day we were all done by 3am, one day we were done at 11am.) There was some pressure to rotate stock yet time limits made it virtually impossible. Especially if you're a woman, there may be pressure to become a cashier, which sucks. May be isolating in terms of interaction with coworkers since aisles are often worked independently
