Pros
HGL employs a lot of good people dedicated to client service and improving the environment. Pay is reasonable and benefits are competitive. When properly planned, budgeted , staffed, subcontracted and executed, the firm does good work.
Cons
Planning process un realistic. CEO bromances leads to hiring saviors who waste resources and fail to enhance business. Bureaucratic business processes and focus on federal contracting stifles agility and discounts significant markets. The company senior management is staffed as SAIC lite. Likewise, company culture is so fragile that big hires from major companies can come in a disrupt previously successful processes and personnel. Very little internal growth permitted as most senior leaders are hired from outside. Pay raises and bonuses minimal. Prior emphasis on PBC contract wins will stretch financial resources.
