The work is stressful with zero backup - Sales Associate IDX Employee Review

Pros

Office has decent snacks and coffee if you get there early.

Cons

This place is exhausting. The office culture feels fake and pushed hard, like smiling is part of the job description. Leadership talks big but never lines up, and trust disappeared a long time ago. Managers look stressed and unprepared, and that pressure rolls downhill fast. The work is stressful with zero backup, and feedback gets shut down real quick. Pay stays low, raises never happen, and bonuses are just a rumor. The environment turns toxic fast, and it starts messing with your head more than it should.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We're sorry to hear your experience with IDX was not what we aim for with our employees. Without knowing what location or team you worked within (as we don't have Sales Associates at IDX), it's challenging to action change according to your feedback. This experience isn't one that has been reflected across our employee base and the tenure of our Sales teams tell a different story, therefore, it would be useful to hear your feedback, should you be comfortable to share. Please contact our People Team via people.team@idx.inc.

Pros

IDX gives you room to actually do your job. The leadership team trusts experienced people to think, challenge ideas, and make decisions instead of micromanaging. Collaboration across teams is real, not just something talked about in meetings. Smart people, solid process, and a genuine push to adapt as marketing and AI continue to evolve. If you care about outcomes and not just optics, this is a good place to work. There’s also a healthy respect for work life balance, especially compared to many agencies. Expectations are clear, communication is direct, and performance is measured on impact rather than hours logged.

Cons

Like most growing organizations, things can move fast and priorities can shift. That can be uncomfortable if you need everything perfectly defined before moving forward. Some processes are still evolving, which is the tradeoff for not being overly rigid.

Pros

The culture here is a standout. People are genuinely collaborative, helpful, and respectful of each other’s time. As a Project Manager in a performance marketing environment, I’ve appreciated how cross-functional teams partner to solve problems quickly and keep work moving. Compensation and benefits are competitive, and there’s a healthy emphasis on work-life balance, which makes it easier to do great work without burning out.

Cons

There is a documented 30-day ramp for new hires, which is helpful, but the learning curve can still be steep depending on the role/team. You need to be a strong self-starter to consistently hit that timeline, and some processes are learned through experience rather than through fully standardized, role-specific training.
