Pros
- Some friendly coworkers.
- Good place to kickstart a career and gain work experience.
- Chartered bus to and from nearby MRT station every day.
Cons
- Less-than-ideal benefits. (Annual leave below market rate for non-executives, medical coverage is sub-par, little to no bonus even after several years)
- Results-driven environment, but the investment required to attain said results are seldom made. (e.g. old technology, inadequate/insufficient resources, low manpower). On the contrary, the company is always looking for more ways to cut costs.
- Often expected to perform irrelevant tasks that are not within the jobscope due to dated resources and manpower.
- Important discussions and meetings are often had in Chinese, so non-speakers will be at a big disadvantage.
- Non-Halal lunch is provided from Monday to Thursday. Halal food is provided only on Fridays. Employees affected by this decision have often expressed how they feel less valued and respected by this decision but no change.
- It is made clear that OT is not paid, but the high workload and poor structure often results in employees having to stay beyond working hours simply to meet deadlines.
- Expectations and instructions are constantly changing/forgotten by the ones who set it, causing severe miscommunication and confusion.
- Many cases of A being unable to finish their task because they are busy doing B's task, because B is busy doing C's task, because C...etc.
