Pros

Engaging to work with an extremely intelligent and supportive team solving challenging problems. Programmatic data science and analytics on first-class tech stack; It’s “R and Python” , not “R or Python” Big focus on R&D, great place to innovate and iterate. No shortage of people with great ideas. Culture that puts competence above confidence

Cons

Growing pains, as with any company growing rapidly there are growing pains around process and there is a need to navigate ambiguity Many hats, at smaller companies people “wear a lot of hats” and there is a need to be able to strategically balance hats Can’t take yourself too seriously. Peer review and feedback is a commitment team make to each other.

Pros

The company is growing and the leadership is making every effort to take care of their people and provide them was challenging and rewarding positions. I really clicked with the CEO and her leadership team and think they have some really exciting opportunities within the company.

Cons

Due to covid there was a lot of remote work and I wanted more interaction but that was no fault of the company itself.

Pros

The team was fantastic to work with. Everyone clearly knew what they were doing. Everyone was always willing to jump on a call to explain something or show you something. Talking things through was always accepted and appreciated. They gave incentives. Had benefits and nice computers. They were initially open to feedback and suggestions.

Cons

There was a lack of direction and vision for the role I was placed in. I was placed under two different managers trying to get my position to be where it needed to be. There was a lack of organization and structure and no processes in place. Everything was just done, and that was it. There was no double-checking or reading over, and the managers were usually too busy to do work to give the final go. The CEO did not know how to run the business from a marketing standpoint. There was no vision or voice of the company, and it was just floating in the wind. The company took on the look and feel of whoever the client was, not boasting about the great work IXIS was doing. They did not put their name on anything and were afraid to show it.
