Pros

None come to mind. Other than once you leave you appreciate other jobs much more, nothing can be as bad as icentris. And the CEO isn't Peter Benedict anymore, he's been out for a few years.

Cons

They lie during the interview process, making things sound great, just to get anybody to work for them, and after you are in a few weeks the truth comes out. I don't know of anybody who works for them now or in the past and hasn't had this "oh man, what did I get myself into" moment when the curtains are pulled back. They don't understand how to do software development. The project managers don't coordinate work well between each other, everything is always critical, planning doesn't happen, and developers are run 24x7 with no personal time, putting out the fire of the day. They tried to make it better and brought in a new CTO, but he left within a year because none of the PMs wanted to change from their broken ways, and everything went back to how bad it was, if not worse. The two owners are brothers that hate each other, and they create massive drama and fear because of this. Leaders shout in the halls. Highly difficult. Leadership are all sales people, who don't get it and just want things to work in short periods of time, always taking shortcuts. They are on a death spiral, losing customers, and everything is in fear. I recommend avoiding this place. Leaving it has made me feel like it created PTSD, I kid you not. I feel much better being out of there.

Pros

twenty five cent candy bars

Cons

Where to begin... The leadership is terrible. They're only concerned with making the next sale with no regards on how to get it done with vastly limited resources. They'll flat out lie to clients about what can be done, and then pin the failures on the people that were held accountable with no power to complete their promises because they weren't feasible or would have taken so much. If you go in for an interview, you'll be told about the "family atmosphere". Well as long as the family is dysfunctional one, then I suppose that's accurate. Their is no training and no help as you attempt to learn all of the secrets about their "product". Ho boy, the product! It's terrible and unsustainable, it's layers of terrible code and janky architecture that has so many bugs and zero code coverage. Literally every deployment is a hotfix, and their is no discipline or adherence to even the basic best code management practices. My advice: Stay Away.
