Pros

Some colleagues are supportive and try to make the best of a tough situation.

Cons

I’ve been at Ideagen for just over a year, and it’s been one of the most challenging experiences of my career. The sales culture here is toxic, driven by an unrelenting focus on revenue above all else. Targets are set at levels that feel deliberately unattainable—almost as if they’re designed to keep you under constant pressure. There’s little to no training provided to help you succeed, and support from management is practically nonexistent unless you’re hitting numbers. New hires are thrown into the deep end with minimal guidance, expected to figure things out while being micromanaged on metrics like call volume rather than actual sales strategy. Senior managers come across as ruthless, prioritizing results over people. I’ve seen colleagues publicly called out or humiliated for missing targets, which creates a fear-based atmosphere that kills morale. There’s no sense of team camaraderie; it’s every person for themselves, and the internal competition feels cutthroat rather than motivating. The company’s obsession with revenue means customer service is an afterthought. I’ve lost count of how many customer meetings start with apologies for poor support or delayed responses. Clients frequently express frustration with Ideagen’s lack of follow-through, and it’s embarrassing to represent a company that seems to care so little about delivering on promises. The focus is always on closing the next deal, not on building relationships or ensuring customer satisfaction. Overall, the environment at Ideagen feels unsustainable. High turnover is rampant, and it’s no surprise why—there’s little investment in employees or customers beyond what drives the bottom line. I wouldn’t recommend working here unless you thrive in high-pressure, low-support environments and don’t mind compromising on integrity to hit unrealistic goals.

Pros

Good PTO and flexible schedule.

Cons

Poor compensation, disorganized upper management that has little understanding of the work engineering teams are doing, owned by private equity only concerned with their bottom line and not the well-being of company/employees, the list goes on and on.
