Pros
- Due to the speed of growth of the company and constant new acquisitions there are always people being promoted internally - Management believes in promoting smart and hard workers even if it means stretching you outside your comfort zone - Company is very profitable so no risk of layoffs due to cash flow problems like many companies (especially start ups) - I have built an amazing network of hard working ambitious people - For management the equity component of your compensation is incredibly valuable, do not underestimate this!
Cons
- Cash compensation is low vs the market - Not a place to go for work life balance - Finance/Accounting department is a total disaster and bottleneck - Wide skill gap in some positions due to their promote from within policy (some people are way under qualified for their roles) - Culture is driven by the CEO; if you like his approach then great, if not then you will likely be looking for work soon
