The M&A playbook is to eliminate as many acquired employees as possible, especially in the product development and customer support functions, and milk the customer base with the lowest operational cost. Bug fixing and development will be outsourced to a network of 3rd party coding companies on a project basis. Benefits like bonus programs and unlimited PTO will be canceled -- probably the day after the CEO tells the newly acquired employees there will be no changes in compensation or benefits.
