• small brokerage house (which has never been taken seriously into account by anybody in the industry) where there are no rules; a sort of family business run by husband and wife in ‘dictatorship' style and you must obey if you want ‘to survive’ in the company.
• The company's policy is to exploit people as much as they can. They normally take fresh graduates making them work extensive working hours for no money and not even any kind of reimbursement of expenses.
• The code of conduct is border line. When you work on the 'sales side’, you are ‘instructed’ to tell sellers/creditors that their holdings are literally worth ZERO (anything was worth zero !)
As a matter of fact, the motto of the company was: ‘we are giving you money for free in exchange of this !' This was something we were ‘advised’ to say on the phone by the Managing Director, a kind of ‘pillar’, in order to persuade creditors/sellers to sell their holdings and justify with them such low bids, in the region of 0,30% of the nominal value. No one took us seriously in the field because of these price level..
• Commissions were never paid on time ! Some times they were not paid at all ! Some times were partially paid... All depended on the mood the managing director woke up in.
Many talented brokers had to leave because they were sick of being cheated on commissions.
