Pros

I've never worked at a company with such a supportive, intelligent group of people. We care about doing our best and working towards our goals, but it's all done in a supportive environment. It's collaborative, but everyone has clear roles and responsibilities. People ask thoughtful questions about why we're doing what we do and it never feels like we're operating under fire drills. The culture lives and breathes work/life balance in a way I've never experienced before. The product we're working on is also something I'm very proud of and have seen first hand the incredible personal implications as well as positive affect to our client's bottom line.

Cons

As we're growing quickly, the type of person who will thrive here is one who can manage ambiguity and who comes with a point of view about how to solve problems, starting from a place of empathy.

Pros

Some of the nicest people you'll ever work with -- as long as you're extroverted and done paying attention to the pandemic. They want to get to know you! In person, regularly, indoors, with no masks. You can work remotely! But you'll need to fly in once a quarter for a design workshop that attending remotely is optional for, but strongly discouraged by company culture. You'll be working on a product that really matters, but it's struggling to find a market fit. The benefits are great, even if everybody is paid well under market value.

Cons

Leadership at this org seems more focused on their own titles (C-Suite) and being friends with each other than they are on growing and supporting the business. There's little to no career pathing; any development you need or want will need to be done on your own time. Goals are often nebulous and untethered from a sense of purpose; they're just KPIs that you need to hit to earn a measly quarterly bonus. Depending on your role, you may be in meetings all day long with no breaks to breathe or use the restroom, or you may be sitting alone in your home for hours with nobody to talk to and no sense of community.
